PTSC Announces Acceptance Of QThink As Their First Certified Design Center

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 2002--Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC OTCBB: PTSC news) and QThink, a leading front to back IC design services company, jointly announced Patriot's acceptance of QThink as its first Certified Design Center.

The relationship will facilitate PTSC's on-going product development and marketing strategies by adding QThink's additional resources, potentially accelerating the PTSC business plan. The alliance should also allow PTSC to rapidly move to .13 and lower geometries with its proprietary IGNITE microprocessor.

"Near term project objectives are to enhance the IGNITE IP product applications, allowing our customers to advance quickly from the Intellectual Product to silicon, shortening their time to market," stated Jeff Wallin, President and CEO of Patriot Scientific. "We expect to announce the results of this effort to the entire industry in the next few weeks with an innovative step into a more available hands-on system with which potential customers can more easily work with the IGNITE IP. We anticipate this relationship with QThink will evolve into fueling additional on-going development projects."

"QThink recognizes Patriot's unique offerings in machine architecture, memory footprint and power consumption as important options for embedded designers," said Eric Tobias, CEO of QThink. "The QThink-Patriot team is an enabler for those software architects choosing to bring the newest languages to the diverse embedded world. QThink's "pure-play" ability to work with both client IP and multiple third-party IP offers designers a better, proven way to create these complex system chips."

"Selection by PTSC as a Certified Design Center confirms that our `pure-play' model will protect IP, will help customers put IGNITE IP to work quickly, and will get customer designs to market sooner," noted Akbar Shokouhi, president of QThink. "QThink delivers the best solution for each customer through skill in font-to-back design, Constraint-Driven TM methodologies, IP integration, EDA tools, libraries, and foundry technologies. QThink's "methodology IP" and full front-to-back services help customers streamline the journey from concept to silicon."

Both QThink and Patriot are positioned to play in the heart of the global wireless industry, and together they plan to provide design resources to IGNITE customers throughout North America and the world.
